POSITION SUMMARY

The Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) is an advanced practice nursing provider working in a school setting (Anne Arundel County Public School System) to render care to varying student populations. Their work includes evaluation, assessment, and diagnosis; prescribing and establishment of care plan; ongoing treatment and therapy; and internal collaboration to render the highest level of patient care, and will be able to make a comprehensive impact on the students.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Assessment, evaluation, and diagnosis 

  • Prescribing and implement treatment in accordance with diagnosis and standards

  • Establish care plans in collaboration with internal and external clinicians, administrative staff, and leadership to various student populations

  • Ordering tests to monitor patient status as needed

  • Attend weekly team meetings as required

  • Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team

  • Other related duties as assigned

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master of Nursing (MSN) 

  • Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner license in good standing (Certified by Maryland Board of Nursing)

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a PMHNP/APRN required; 5+ years of experience as an PMHNP/APRN strongly preferred

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and EHR systems

  • Independent and effective problem-solving skills

  • Excellent communication skills with a teamwork approach

 

Employment with Interdynamics is contingent upon completing screening requirements (including, but not limited to, Criminal Background Check and State Child Abuse Registry Clearance).

Compensation - $60-75 fee for service
