Interventions Behavioral Health Center in Annapolis, Maryland is hiring a Mental Health Therapist with an active Maryland license as an LCSW, LCPC, LMFT, or LGPC. This is an independent contractor position. As a clinician with Interventions, you’ll enjoy your own private office to help treat your clients, determining your own work schedule, assistance with building your caseload, administrative and office support with billing services and insurance credentialing.

POSITION SUMMARY:

As a therapist with Interventions, you will be responsible for treating mental, behavioral, social and emotional problems and disorders, and developing a plan to confront these challenges and achieve an improved quality of life for the client. You will work primarily with individual adult clients, but you also must have expertise in providing mental health services to families, adolescents and groups. As a therapist, you will be responsible for providing quality therapy, maintaining necessary documentation (notes, assessment, diagnosis, treatment plan), and providing treatment as necessary.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Meeting with clients regularly to develop treatments and goals to help improve their mental wellbeing.

Analyzing a client’s behavioral patterns in order to diagnose mental health disorders.

Developing suitable treatment programs based on clients' diagnoses and monitoring client’s progress; modifying the patient’s treatment plans as needed.

Assisting clients in developing healthier thought patterns and behaviors.

Maintaining confidentiality of records relating to clients' treatment.

Collaborating with clients' families to obtain feedback on implemented treatment plans and patients' progress.

Coordinating with social and medical agencies, healthcare providers and community outreach programs to provide clients with needed services.

Serving as a client advocate to coordinate required services or to resolve emergency problems in crisis situations.

SALARY:

The position is an independent contractor position with Interventions. Your salary will be based on a percentage of collections which will be agreed upon between you and the Executive Director of Interventions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Have a valid Maryland license as an LCSW, LCPC or LMFT or,

A Graduate Clinical Licensure in Maryland required (LGSW or LGPC).

Master’s Degree in related field required.

Minimum of (1) one-year prior mental health counseling experience required. Two or more years preferred.

Prior experience with telemedicine/remote services required.
