The Mental Health Tech (MHT), creates a safe environment for patients, observe and record patient information pertinent to the treatment plan and reporting this information to the nursing team, saves lives when necessary, provides hope, empowers patients, and teaches new tools for coping to patients. Primary responsibilities include the provision of a safe and therapeutic milieu, crisis intervention, individual/family education groups and activities of daily living. This role provides direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse. $4,000 Retention agreement for 1 year commitment!
Shift Hours: Full-Time, 4-5 shifts per week, 8-hour shifts: 7am - 3:30pm, 3pm - 11:30pm, or 11pm - 7:30am.
This position is eligible for our generous shift differentials: Weekend Day (Sat-Sun) $2/hr, Evening (Mon-Thurs) $3.25/hr, Weekend Evening (Fri-Sun) $5.00/hr, Night (Mon-Thurs) $5.00/hr, Weekend Night (Fri-Sun) $7.00/hr. *must work three and a half hours (3.5 hours) into a shift to qualify for shift differential.

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- One-year experience working with a psychiatric patient population preferred.
- Knowledge of psychiatric group processes, therapeutic relationships processes, age specific growth and development, limit setting and behavior management, crisis management with aggressive behaviors, and CPR training preferred or ability to learn.
