Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Clinician to join our team. The Unlicensed/Licensed Clinician reports to the Clinic Manager. The Unlicensed Clinician (ASW, AMFT, APCC) performs a range of psychotherapeutic and rehabilitative interventions, including psychosocial assessment individual and group counseling, crisis.
Duties
- Maintain a caseload of clients. (Unlicensed Clinicians shall work under clinical supervision and close review of a Clinical Supervisor)
- Performs mental health screenings and assessments.
- Document services to meet all clinical program and state requirements, noting significant intervention and progress toward development, attainment of a treatment plan, within the allowable time as per company policies.
- Unlicensed Clinicians shall meet weekly for individual and group supervision for the purpose of reviewing client progress and to assure quality treatment planning.
- Review client files at discharge for completion, making written notes of findings as needed.
- Maintains ethical obligations including client confidentiality.
- Adhere to reporting requirements for incidents of Child Abuse, Elder Abuse, Adult Abuse, Dependent Adult Abuse, and Tarasoff warnings per California reporting laws.
- Provide direct services in the clinic or virtual setting.
- Give input on overall structure of treatment program.
- Consult with and/or educate community groups, and other agencies.
- Attend and participate in staff meetings and on-site staff training.
- Thinks and act quickly and efficiently in emergencies.
- Maintains professional conduct and communication etiquette with clients, staff, and supervisor.
- Complete other tasks and duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Unlicensed Clinician: A master’s degree in behavioral health science with current registration as an Associate Social Worker (ASW), an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT), or an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC).
- Must be registered with Board of Behavioral Science (BBS).
- Demonstrated skills in clinical mental health services with individuals, families, and groups.
- Must have strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to operate within Electronic Health Records (EHR) system.
- Must be available by cell phone as needed.
- Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint, Office 365, Teams, Zoom and other communication/meeting platforms.
- Possess a valid driver’s license and have access to a dependable means of transportation that is properly insured and operated in accordance with all laws. Agency insurer authorization is required.
- Must maintain good relationships with current, future, and past employees, co-workers, vendors, third party administrators, and others with whom the Agency is transacting business, and relate to them in a professional manner.
ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS FOR BILINGUAL SKILL
- Communicate effectively in written and spoken Spanish.
- Required ability to communicate effectively with monolingual Spanish speaking clients and families for all clinical purposes.
- Assist with phone calls for Spanish clients.
- Assist with language translations as needed.
