Position Summary:

The Independent Licensed Therapist will deliver mental health services to children and adolescents needing treatment and support at Gathering Precious Stones, LLC. As a team member at Gathering Precious Stones, LLC, you can perform various clinical and administrative work involving delivering mental health services to children and adolescents needing treatment and support. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintains a minimum caseload of 10 individuals with personal social behavior problems, including severe mental illness.
  • Consult with a team of clinicians in the planning, implementation, and performance of therapeutically oriented activities.
  • Provide programs for consumers receiving mental health and substance abuse treatment services.
  • Receives referrals of clients needing mental health services and monitors clients' behavior about treatment plan goals and needs.
  • Conducts client needs assessments, actively develops the consumer's Individual Recovery/Resiliency Plan (IRP), and makes appropriate documentation in the record.
  • Provides counseling and support to clients individually.
  • Participates in various staff meetings and in-services and communicates with team members on observed behaviors and progress of consumers.
  • Manages own schedule.
  • Updates treatment plan goals and objectives for new authorizations/re-authorizations and inputs in the EMR system.
  • Completes re-assessments due to existing clients on caseload.

Competencies and Experience:

  • Master's degree in clinical psychology counseling, closely related field or equivalent.
  • 1-3+ years of experience.
  • Fully licensed in GA or certified eligible.
  • Knowledge of mental health disorders and treatment methods, preferably in a behavioral healthcare setting.
  • Ability to provide skilled treatment to clients with social and behavioral problems.
  • Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with consumers, families, service providers, and colleagues.
  • Knowledge of clinical operations and procedures, Medicaid services, and community mental health resources.
  • Good verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to use principles and techniques in the treatment of mental health disorders.
