Job Description: Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor

A Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor primarily assesses mental health conditions, provides individual, group, and family therapy, develops treatment plans, and manages crises for clients dealing with various emotional and psychological issues, all while adhering to ethical guidelines and maintaining detailed clinical documentation; essentially, they offer comprehensive mental health counseling services to individuals, couples, and families

Qualifications:

  • Education: A master's degree in counseling or a closely related field from an accredited program.
  • Supervised experience: A substantial period of supervised clinical practice under a licensed professional counselor, typically involving thousands of hours of direct client contact.
  • Licensing exam: Passing a state-mandated licensing exam, usually the National Counselor Examination (NCE)
  • Valid License as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor
  • At least 5 years of Professional Counseling Experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in case management and counseling techniques.
  • Knowledge of relevant social services and community resources.
