SAFY of Northern, Kentucky is seeking a full-time Clinical Therapist who will provide in-home therapy services including diagnostic assessments, treatment planning, interventions, individual, and family therapy with children, adolescents, and identified adults in our Northern Kentucky division. This role will serve Lewis County (Ashland/Maysville area) and provide some case management for a small, highly engaged team of foster parents.

What You’ll Do as a Therapist:

  • Administer scores and interpret assessment instruments.
  • Complete any identified diagnostic assessments.
  • Develop and implement Service Plans based on assessments.
  • Provide ongoing mental health/clinical services as needed or are required by contract.
  • Maintain client documentation in accordance with SAFY policy and COA standards.
  • Services are provided at the level of frequency, intensity, and duration appropriate to prevent placement or achieve reunification. Services provided are tailored to each family’s needs, problems, strengths, lifestyle, and culture.
  • Submit written reports to supervisor and other parties as required timely and accurately regarding the progress of each family’s case.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports that adequately convey the necessary information to permit interpretation and decision-making.

  • Qualifications:
  • A Master’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology, sociology, or child & family studies is required.
  • Must possess and maintain the appropriate highest level of licensure required by the state - LMFT / LPCC / LCSW / LPCA / CSW (may be under supervision; supervision also available in agency).
  • Two years of experience in providing treatment to youth and families is highly preferred.
  • Ability to work flexible hours.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation in order to meet the travel requirements of this position.

  • Targeted hiring range: $41,000-$59,000 
    • Compensation is commensurate with transferrable experience, education and licensure of candidate, along with internal equity and budgeted amount for the role.
