Education & Licensure

  • Master’s degree in counseling, applied psychology, clinical mental health counseling, clinical psychology, counseling psychology, or related field (Required)
  • Licensed Counselor (LGPC or LCPC) or Licensed Social Worker (LMSW, LCSW, LCSW-C) or Licensed Psychologist (LP) or Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LGMFT or LCMFT) or Licensed Alcohol & Drug Counselor (LGADC or LCADC) (Required)

Experience

  • One (1) year of clinical experience in a clinical setting (Required)

Work Location

  • Hybrid (At least 50% of weekly work hours can be remote)

General Clinical Duties

  • Provide ethical and culturally-sensitive mental health counseling as well as case management services
  • Offer psychoeducation about relapse prevention, patterns and behaviors, and treatment processes
  • Diagnose and plan treatment for patients
  • Complete clinical paperwork (intakes, treatment plans, progress notes)
  • Advocate for patient needs
  • Offer consultation to patients and their representatives
  • Manage medication compliance (with the help of the psychiatric nurse practitioner and/or psychiatrist)
  • Make referrals to other social services and treatment programs as needed
  • Facilitate disposition planning
  • Engage in individual supervision regularly as decided by the clinical supervisor
  • Attend peer supervision (optional, but recommended)
  • Plan courses of treatment based on patient’s cultural identity factors
  • Provide crisis intervention as needed
  • Consult with other mental health professionals as necessary
  • Facilitate referrals to support agencies as needed (i.e., Child or Adult Protective Services, other health professionals, etc.).

General Administrative Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and timely patient charts that includes clinical intakes, weekly progress notes, assessments, treatment plans, and discharge summaries

General Personnel Duties

  • Complete all necessary HR paperwork
