Delta Specialty Hispital is a 223-bed medical facility with 154 approved psychiatric beds. The hospital is located in Memphis, Tennessee off Getwell Road. Our hospital provides comprehensive treatment focused for psychiatric conditions and some complex medical conditions.
Internships provide a glimpse into the real life jobs that are available and we love to offer insight and training to peers considering working with our vulnerable population!
As an intern, duties are oversought by the department supervisors. For social work our Director of Clinical Services will orient and supervise for all clinical duties. Those duties include psychosocial evaluationsc psycho education groups and treatment planning. We provide you with the skills to be successful now and in your future endeavors!
All levels of social work is available (BSW, MSW, etc.). Social work interns can fulfill roles in our outpatient program, inpatient program or admissions department!
Your schedule will depend on supervisory abilities and can be discussed following your initial contact. At this time compensation is not included in the internship experience.
