Marketing and Communication Intern

Cross Life Ventures is a community development business that develops people, professionals, businesses, and organizations through marketing and communication. We are dream focused. We focus on individual dreams and aspirations and what an individual wants to achieve in their here and now. Whether a small business is trying to grow clientele, an individual is seeking change, or a community is looking to grow tourism, we help guide them and direct them to services that help their dream. We love helping people build their careers and skills!

At Cross Life Ventures, interns discover their passions, what they like, what they don’t like, and learn new communication skills that will help them communicate individually, in small groups, and in business settings. We train leaders and help them learn how to give back to their communities. Cross Life Ventures is a great place to help interns build their resumes. We will even teach them how to build their own online portfolio!

Responsibilities:

• Support marketing campaign planning and execution
• Write copy and create visual designs for websites, blog posts, news stories and press releases, promotional emails, social media posts, and other marketing and communication channels using Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Premiere, Express)
• Support advertising campaigns
• Participate in marketing brainstorming sessions
• Research and data analytics
• Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

Work Hours and Benefits:

• Weekly hours are dependent on internship school requirements or your own personal schedule if not in school
• Class credit (if available by your institution)
• Lots of opportunity to learn and gain experience

Qualifications and Skills:

• Creative problem-solving skills
• Self-motivated with ability to work independently
• Comfortable with multitasking in a deadline-driven environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Able to meet deadlines
• Creative problem-solving skills
• Basic photography, image and video editing, and graphic design skills are a plus but not required.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Currently working towards a college degree
• Proficient with the use of Google Workspace (Chat, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Spaces, etc.)
