Bilingual Case Management Program Director

 

Outreach Community Ministries partners with Wheaton Bible Church and Iglesia del Pueblo to form Puente del Pueblo, which serves the residents of both the Timber Lake and Main Park apartment complexes in West Chicago. Programs include case management, adult literacy, ESL tutoring, after school programs for elementary, junior high, and high school students and community events. Outreach provides the leadership staff for this program.

 

 

The Bilingual Case Management Program Director will be responsible for leading the Case Management Department and Adult Literacy Department. This includes supervision (staff/interns/volunteers), oversight and direct service of the two departments. Case Management responsibilities include responding to all casework needs through intake and assessment, goal planning, referrals and advocating for clients. Adult Literacy responsibilities include referring clients to local ESL programs and training tutors and volunteers. This position will establish and maintain relationships with organizations, schools, apartment managers, churches and important stakeholders. Additional responsibilities include managing program budgets, documentation of grant requirements and facility management.

 

A passion for working with adults; MA Degree in Human Services or a related field required, MSW preferred; 5 years direct service experience and 2 years of administrative experience; previous supervision experience; demonstrated skills in administration and program development; sensitivity to the needs of students from low-income, culturally-diverse families and backgrounds. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. Valid IL driver’s license and good driving record. Ability to commit to church attendance at Wheaton Bible Church or Iglesia del Pueblo for the purpose of building relationships to bridge the church and community and embrace a model of incarnational ministry. A commitment to Outreach’s Statement of Faith is required. Bilingual (Spanish/English).

 

Full-time. Monday - Friday with one evening each week to meet client needs.

 

Compensation for this position falls between $48,000 and $57,000 based on education, skills, experience, and language ability.
