If You have a Substance-Related Charge DUI, Reckless Driving, Minor in Possession, Drug Possession, etc., you will need to get an Alcohol and Drug Evaluation/clinical evaluation DUI, BUI (Boating Under the Influence), and Multiple Offender Treatment , Substance Abuse treatment . Georgia law requires anyone that has been charged with DUI to complete a Drug and Alcohol Evaluation with a state-approved counselor. We charge the minimum fee allowed by the state of Georgia. ? I am licensed by the State of Georgia and have extensive experience working with a broad range of issues including DUI / Risk Reduction classes and drug court.Location: Kennesaw,Hiram,Carrollton,Fulton and Polk.

Internship Description 
Micro : Client Assessments: Conduct initial assessments to evaluate clients' substance use history, mental health status, and social circumstances.  Gather relevant background information to inform treatment planning. Utilize therapeutic techniques to help clients explore their feelings, behaviors, and triggers. Collaborate with clients to develop personalized treatment goals and plans.  Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary. Respond to crises and provide immediate support to clients in distress.

  Assess risk factors and ensure client safety. Educate clients about substance use disorders, coping strategies, and relapse prevention.
   - Facilitate workshops or group sessions on relevant topics. Assist clients in accessing community resources, such as Mental Health clinics and health departments. Connect clients with support groups and other relevant programs such as AA/NA meetings. Maintain accurate and confidential client records, including progress notes and treatment plans. Help clients navigate social services and legal systems as needed. Respect and incorporate clients’ cultural backgrounds and beliefs into treatment.

Mezzo: Assist in leading group therapy sessions, focusing on topics such as coping strategies and relapse prevention. Support the lead facilitator by managing group dynamics and encouraging participation. Facilitate discussions on the impact of substance use on family dynamics. Help organize and facilitate support groups for clients and family members. Observe conflict resolution techniques in group settings and practice these skills under supervision. Assist families in accessing community resources that support recovery, such as counseling services or support groups. Participate in assessing the needs of groups and families to inform program development. Maintain records of group sessions and family interactions, noting attendance and progress.
   - Assist in preparing reports summarizing group activities and outcomes. Share observations and insights from group sessions to inform treatment planning. Help clients and families understand their rights and available resources. Engage in discussions about cultural factors affecting group dynamics and family interactions.

Macro: Assist in conducting assessments of community needs related to substance use and recovery resources. Participate in the planning and development of community programs aimed at prevention and education about substance abuse. Assist in creating informational materials and outreach strategies. Establish partnerships to enhance community support systems. Research and analyze policies related to substance use treatment and prevention at the local, state, and national levels. Represent the internship program in community discussions focused on substance abuse. Engage with community members to understand their unique experiences and challenges related to substance use. Assist in developing sustainable strategies for community programs to ensure long-term impact.
