A Better Way Counseling Service is Hiring! We are seeking a fully or associate
licensed therapist to provide in-person child and family therapy and join our
supportive and dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have passion and
experience working with children and adolescents, be available to see 25-30
clients a week, is licensed in Washington State, as well as have knowledge
regarding supporting neurodiverse populations.
We are a private practice agency located in Vancouver, Washington. Our agency
was founded by clinicians, creating a unique, nurturing, and uplifting culture. We
have a weekly all-staff meeting that includes case consultations, training,
brainstorming, problem-solving, and shared laughter. We offer professional
development, excellent clinical supervision, licensure supervision for LICSW,
MFT, and LMHC, and a supportive team environment. Ultimately, we are looking
for an empathic therapist, with excellent skills, a commitment to making a
difference in our community, who shares our values, and is a good fit for our
agency.

Job duties include
- Provide high quality, compassionate, and ethical direct to consumer mental health therapy to clients
- Complete clinical documentation
- Maintain required client contact
- Learning and navigating client management software
- Participating in consultation and staff meetings
- Complete and maintain all required continuing education requirements for specific licensure and specializations
- Stay current with updated research and best practices
- Be aware of community referral sources and refer when necessary
Qualifications:
- Graduate degree in social work, marriage and family, mental health, human services or related field
- Must have current, valid Washington State license or associate license.
- Prefer 2 years direct clinical experience with children and their families
- Knowledge or willingness to learn WAC and statutes pertaining to treatment of disorders and mental health services
- Strong communication skills and the ability to establish rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
