Our hospital is fortunate to provide Electroconvulsive Therapy, Intensive Outpatient and Partial Hospitalization Programs in addition to inpatient services.

Job Duties/Responsibilities: 

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides professional nursing care on a designated unit in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Centennial Peaks Hospital. The Registered Nurse (RN) prescribes, coordinates and delegates nursing care utilizing the nursing process that is integrated into the multidisciplinary treatment team plan of care. The Registered Nurse (RN) is accountable for assigned nursing care activities on a shift basis and is responsible for promoting and enhancing professional nursing practice on the unit.

Night Shift: 12-hour shifts, 7a - 7:30p or 7p-7:30a and alternating weekends. 

This position is eligible for our generous shift differentials: Weekend Day (Sat-Sun) $2/hr, Evening (Mon-Thurs) $3.25/hr, Weekend Evening (Fri-Sun) $5.00/hr, Night (Mon-Thurs) $5.00/hr, Weekend Night (Fri-Sun) $7.00/hr. *must work three and a half hours (3.5 hours) into a shift to qualify for shift differential.

Qualifications

  • The ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment is critical. 
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program, BSN preferred.        
  • One-year prior psychiatric experience in mental health nursing, preferred. 
  • Licensure and registration by the Colorado Division of Regulatory Agencies as a registered nurse. 
  • Must possess knowledge of general and psychiatric nursing processes, therapeutic relationships and processes, age specific growth and development, limit setting, crisis and behavior management. 
  • Current CPR or BLS certification or ability to learn, this training is provided during training period.
