Definition of Work

 

Provide high quality and evidence based behavioral health services to Horizon Behavioral Health, PLLC (HBH) patients under the direct supervision, with increased independence based on licensure status and experience.  Services may include individual therapy, couple’s therapy, group therapy, and family therapy.  HBH is an Equal Opportunity Employer.  

 

Distinguishing features of this position

 

Work is characterized by the performance of psychotherapy including individual, group, couple’s and family session, directly and indirectly supervised by a licensed psychologist or other licensed designee.  Ability to manage and complete administrative requirements such as meeting documentation standards in a timely manner and monthly peer review.  Work is performed with a reasonable degree of independence and latitude, dependent upon therapist’s education, training, and experience.  Supervision may be exercised over other personnel based on training and experience.  

 

Examples of Work performed

 

  • Maintain compliance and fidelity to government (Medicaid and Medicare) regulations and other third party payers.
  • Provides direct patient care services including psychotherapy, case management, and case coordination. 
  • Monitors patient records to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Monitors patient treatment plans, progress notes, discharge summaries.
  • Attends required supervision and staff meetings.
  • Maintains compliance with licensure and continuing education requirements.  

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

 

  • Considerable knowledge of evidence-based therapy protocols and current diagnostic processes.  
  • Knowledge of related community resources and agencies.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, other personnel, subordinates, the general public, and patients. 
  • Excellent clinical skills. 
  • Excellent organization skills.  

 

 

Minimum Education and experience

 

Qualifications:   Master’s degree in Social Work or Counseling from an accredited college or university.

 

Experience:   Clinical experience may vary depending on the level of care and services to be provided.
