Are you ready to get in on the ground floor of Leo, Amazon’s long-term initiative to design, launch and maintain a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites to provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world?

It’s Day 1 for Amazon’s next billion-dollar business and we are looking for a Program Manager to work in a start-up environment who is passionate about technology and information systems, who thinks and acts globally, and has the ability to create and implement solutions.

The ideal candidate will possess both the technical background that enables them to work with technology and a demonstrated ability to think broadly and strategically about Amazon Leo initiatives. They will experience a wide range of problem-solving situations requiring an understanding of technical infrastructure and stakeholder expectations.

Key job responsibilities
- Drive project schedules from design to release, managing the production launch for a product/feature, and using metrics to provide status
- Relentlessly simplify and demonstrate significant innovation, creativity, and good judgment when solving challenging problems
- Drive best practices on the team, deal with ambiguity and competing objectives, and proactively identify and mitigate risks before they become roadblocks
- Write effective narratives and present them concisely and effectively to senior management
- Develop program and team processes and tools as required
- Build deployment project plans and manage risks impacting successful delivery
- Develop use cases by gathering business requirements, work with software development to build required features, clearly communicate dependencies and manage/track exceptions
- Participate in Proof of Concepts (POCs) sessions to ensure proposed solutions can meet business requirements
- Active participation in Unit Test, System Integration Test, User Acceptance Test, and User Training
- Navigate through a large amount of ambiguity and drive consensus between cross-functional stakeholder groups


A day in the life
This role will be highly collaborative, requiring partnerships with cross-functional leaders to drive positive results. You will tackle challenging business problems and have the opportunity to work with Leo and Corporate technical teams.

About the team
Leo (Formerly Kuiper) Finance Technology (LFT) is a part of Devices and Services (DaS) FinTech team supporting Leo Finance. LFT provides program management, SAP product, and BI reporting solutions to support Leo business initiatives.

Basic Qualifications

- 3+ years of program or project management experience
- 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
- Bachelor's degree
- Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Preferred Qualifications

- 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience
- 3+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
- Experience building processes, project management, and schedules
- Experience using project management applications - Jira, Asana, etc.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
