Clinical Mental Health Counseling Intern

Seattle University CAPS | Seattle, WA, United States

Posted Date 6/25/2025
Description

Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) at Seattle University is seeking interns to provide counseling to a diverse population of college students. Our primary function is to provide short term, individual counseling services to undergraduate and graduate students. Successful candidates for this internship will provide direct counseling to students, primarily in a 1:1, in-person capacity for one year.   Intern(s) will meet at least once per week for individual supervision with their assigned supervisor and once per week with the counseling staff for case consultation meetings. Interns will be expected to maintain client files using Medicat EHR software.

Intern(s) are expected work in the CAPS office 20 hours per week, with no less than 12 (?) of those hours in direct service to clients. Opportunities may exist for intern(s) to work with other Counseling, Health, and Wellness team members to create educational programming or to implement support/therapy groups.

*This internship will commence just prior to the start of the SU fall quarter in September and finish at the end of summer quarter in August. ($?)

Maybe we don't need specific start and end months as it seems some intern candidates won't be ready until after fall classes?

Please email resume and letter of interest to lkoshork@seattleu.edu for consideration.
