Job Description - Supervised Clinician (Varied Role; LGPC/LMSW)

 

Reports to: Clinical Lead + Clinical Supervisor

 

Duties and Responsibilities: 

 

  • Provide quality, specialized, ethical, and professional services to clients (individual, family and/or group therapy services, psychoeducation, and/or parent consultation)

 

      • Maintain a consistent schedule with 20 available session slots per week including at least 2 evenings per week (last clinical session begins at 7:00pm or later) and/or Saturdays 
      • Maintain an average of 18-20 scheduled sessions and 16-18 completed sessions per week
      • Communicate and collaborate with clients' treatment team, including parents, school, and external agencies including pediatricians, psychologists, psychiatrists, etc. 
      • Incorporate treatment modalities for each client based on client's personal preferences, needs, abilities, and identified treatment goals
      • Prepare for and attend annual IEP and 504 meetings for current clients as needed to provide advocacy and support for client needs; provide additional educational advocacy support for client and family as needed and as it relates to client’s care at Healing Hart Wellness
      • Arrive on time and prepared for therapy sessions
      • Maintain confidentiality of clients and families 
      • Maintain professional license in accordance with standards of State Professional Board
      • Comply with policies related to HIPAA-compliant engagement with clients and families 
      • Comply with codes of ethics from professional organizations (i.e. NASW, etc.)
      • Comply with the statutes and regulations of the state of Maryland
      • Ensure safety precautions are implemented and monitored at each session concerning factors including mental and emotional for each client
      • Respond to all correspondence in a timely fashion and professional manner
      • Represent self and employer within the community in a professional manner

 

  • Assist the Healing Hart Wellness Care Team, including: 

 

      • Remain up to date on all offerings at Healing Hart Wellness, fee schedule, upcoming groups and events, policies related to consent for therapy, etc., and effectively communicate important information to current and potential clients, as needed 
      • Maintain a consistent schedule with 3 hours available weekly for scheduled Consultation Calls with potential clients and additional administrative Care Team tasks including responding to inquiry emails and calls; schedule to be determined at time of hire, based on Care Team need
      • Follow all procedures and policies of the Care Team related to communication timeliness and methods, documentation, referrals, wait lists, intakes, etc. 

 

  • Maintain case files in accordance with HHW and State of Maryland standards

 

      • Complete all clinical notes and documentation including intake assessments and discharge summaries within 2 business days and no later than Friday at 1:00pm 
      • Document all relevant communication including phone calls, emails, and clinically relevant secure messages in EHR for clients within the same business day of the contact had
      • Complete all administrative tasks in accordance with HHW policies and procedures

 

  • Actively participate and engage as part of the HHW Clinical Team and HHW Staff

 

      • Attend group supervision, team meetings, and mandatory training, as scheduled
        **Clinicians are required to keep Fridays 10am-1pm available weekly for meetings
      • Complete the Monthly Summary and submit to Clinical Lead each month
      • Attend individual supervision weekly; arrive on-time and prepared
      • Communicate effectively within HHW to ensure effective care and treatment 
      • Remain up to date on all HHW offerings and activities; refer internally when appropriate 
      • Effectively utilize our electronic medical record (EMR) system, Simple Practice 
      • Effectively utilize our intraoffice workflow systems within Google Workspace
      • Remain up to date on and apply best practices for neurodiversity-affirming care
      • Remain up to date on and apply best practices for LGBTQIA+ affirming care

 

  • Perform other unspecified tasks and related duties as assigned

 

 

Qualifications and Skills:

    • Master’s Degree or Doctoral Degree in counseling, psychology, marriage and family therapy, art therapy, music therapy, and/or social work
    • Active license to practice in the state of Maryland (LGPC or LMSW only)

 

  • Reliable transportation to Bel Air, MD, and comfort working in the office regularly
  • Demonstrated commitment to personal and professional growth
  • Timely, clear, concise documentation and communication
  • Comfortable with both giving and receiving feedback as part of a team

  • Must be punctual in reporting to work and maintain a consistent schedule for clients

 

  • Available to hold agreed-upon client hours per week, provided such sessions are scheduled
  • Be organized and detail-oriented
  • Be able to work independently on tasks assigned
  • Have strong written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal skills
  • Have at least one niche market for counseling services with young people (i.e., OCD, play, trauma, anxiety, grief, anger management, etc.)

 

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Pay Structure - Supervised Clinicians are paid on a fee-for-service structure, whether part-time or full-time, at a rate that is outlined based on licensure and experience 
  • Employees are paid bi-weekly via Direct Deposit
    • Flexible schedule; able to flex time as needed as long as minimums are met weekly
    • Individual and/or group supervision weekly, provided at no cost to Employee
    • Professional development training and paid consultation as scheduled
  • Full-Time Only Benefits
    • Health, dental, and vision insurance covered at 50% for full-time employees (0% for dependents); option to upgrade coverage and pay the difference in cost
    • 10 days paid time off to be used anytime after your first 3 months of employment; no rollover
    • CEU Stipend of $1000 to be used anytime after your first 6 months of employment; no rollover
  • Part-Time Benefits
    • Health, dental, and vision insurance covered at 100% for full-time employees (0% for dependents); option to upgrade coverage and pay the difference in cost

Healing Hart Wellness is an established, specialized, pediatric group practice located in Bel Air, near the Harford Mall and Ma & Pa Trail. Our team is made up of creative, passionate, and collaborative therapists, tutors, coaching, and yoga instructors who are passionate about providing neurodiversity-affirming services to children and young adults, along with those who love them. We offer individual therapy, group therapy, social groups, parent consultation, tutoring, executive function coaching, and even some yoga to our clients.

We are looking to hire a Licensed Clinician/Therapist with experience and/or interest in providing treatment for anxiety and OCD to children ages 4-15 experiencing challenges and therapeutic support to ADHDers and Autistic young people and their families. Our ideal candidate is passionate about working with children and preteens, enjoys collaborating with clients and their caregivers, and is committed to providing neurodiversity and LGBTQIA+ affirming services at our office in Bel Air, MD, and via telehealth. 

We intentionally developed the responsibilities of the Clinical Team to reinforce the importance of self-care along with healthy work-life boundaries and balance. Our full-time Clinical Team members maintain a 30-hour work week and average seeing about 20 clients per week. This varied role is perfect for an LMSW or LGPC who has demonstrated a desire to work with clients within our specialties; along with providing therapy and parent consultation, you will be able to build skills related to assessing goodness of fit, networking, and more!

As a Clinician on our team, you will:

  • Assist our Care Team by completing consultation calls weekly, communicating with potential and current client related to scheduling, and providing additional administrative support as needed
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community organizations, resources for clients, referral sources, etc. to support the work that you are doing with current and future clients in our community 
  • Participate actively in weekly Supervision, provided by an in-house Board Approved Supervisor, at no cost to you, to develop ethical and clinical skills that align with your professional standards along with the mission and values of Healing Hart Wellness
