The H&W rate is an amount provided to offset the cost of company provided fringe benefits.  The team works directly with department heads, technical managers, business managers, and government staff.

Duties / Responsibilities:

  • General duties
    • Preparation and processing of official correspondence and documents in accordance with documented requirements.
    • Managing of personnel timekeeping data.
    • Coordinating training assignments and accomplishments.
    • Managing travel requests and reports.
  • Additional duties
    • Meeting management.
    • Visitor support.
    • Property management.
    • Hiring & separation package processing.
    • Key custodian.
    • Department office management.
  • Organization specific duties
    • Infrastructure (Facilities) Division
      • Management of the Facilities Help Desk
      • Track GOV vehicle mileage
    • Corporate Business Office Division
      • Preparation and processing of documentation supporting Command directives, quality management, and continuous improvement.
    • Human Resources Division
      • Processing GOV personnel separations (retirement packages)
      • Manage the Bravo Zulu Awards Center
      • Maintain the Workforce Development Center online software system
      • Preparation and processing of sensitive correspondence specific to human resources
    • Corporate Operations Division
      • Management of the Keyport One hotline (i.e.: 411 line)
    • Comptroller Department
      • Preparation and processing of GOV desk guides
      • Preparation, processing and management of Delegation of Authority documentation
      • Maintenance of department archives library

Categories:

Resume should include information pertaining to the following: 

  • All levels:
    • Experience with working in an office environment in an administrative capacity.
    • Command of Microsoft Windows 10
    • Expertise in Microsoft Office software matching contract requirements and position needs.
  • Level II - Associates:
    • Ability to edit and format documents (e.g.: correspondence, technical documents, manuals) in accordance with documented requirements.
    • Ability to learn GOV timekeeping system.
    • Ability to learn GOV travel expense system.
    • Ability to learn organization specific systems, processes, and functions.
  • Level III - Specialists:
    • Direct experience producing correspondence, manuals, and official documents in accordance with specific requirements.
    • Experience with an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
    • Experience with a travel authorization/voucher system (e.g.: DTS, Concur, etc.)
    • Experience in an administrative position serving multiple individuals in a variety of administrative duties

Minimum Requirements:

  • U.S. Citizen.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
  • High school diploma or a General Equivalency Diploma (GED) from an accredited institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
  • One (1) year of experience as a Secretary II (SCA code 01312) supporting the BASS program or three (3) years of relevant experience using the following software:
    • MS Word: text entry and formatting, familiarity with basic navigation tools, use of formatting to create or modify documents, page layout involving use of Styles and manipulation of templates and other formatting.
    • Excel: data entry, familiarity with basic navigation tools, conditional Formatting, Charts & Graph creation, simple formulas, Pivot Tables.
    • PowerPoint: creation of simple text-based content, familiarity with basic navigation tools, creation of content using templates & styles, insertion of photos and clip art, creation of content involving photos and clip art, including ability to scale and manipulate graphical content.
    • Online collaboration tools: ability to post to and download from online collaboration tools, enter data into lists, blogs, and team discussions, create and modify views of lists and document libraries.
  • .Able to disclose COVID-19 vaccination status and abide by contract/department’s COVID-19 guidance when accessing any facility.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Active Secret Clearance.
  • Software application skills to support this role include the following:
    • MS Access: data entry, familiarity with basic navigation tools, simple database manipulation, report generation.
    • Visio: ability to create process flows, diagrams, and org. charts, format and manipulate Visio diagrams.

 

Background Investigation:

This position requires that you obtain a Secret Clearance Suitability Determination from our client.  As part of this process, the government will perform a criminal, credit, tax, employment, and drug history background check.  The government has varying tolerances, with mitigating circumstances, for issues in all of the categories.  The government is essentially looking to confirm that you are generally in good financial standing, up to date on your tax filings, rehire eligible with your prior employers, and have adhered to any federal restrictions on illegal drug use, including marijuana, in addition to other checks related on your character and trust worthiness.
