WINGS Mission

We provide high-quality facilities, intensive client support, and integrated continuum of housing and services. We employ safety planning and a Trauma Informed Care model across all of our services. Internship Requirements
• 40 Hour Domestic Violence Training-
o This training is not counted toward internship hours as it is a pre-requisite to placemen
o This training is provided through WINGS at no charge
• Copy of school’s malpractice insurance
• Criminal background check
• DCFS background check
• 2 Letters of Recommendation
• Unofficial School Transcripts
• Willingness/availability to work 1-2 evenings per week
• Agency orientation
• Attends Department and Team meetings as directed
• Bachelor’s or Mater’s level students in Social Work, Psychology, or Human Services
• 12-25 hours per week


Position Descriptions
Various internship opportunities are available that involve working directly with adults and/or children who have experienced domestic violence and/or homelessness. Several locations are available for internships including: Chicago and the Northwest Suburbs. Duties may include individual and group therapy, assessment, case management, and consultation. Placement is determined by skill level and need. Supervision is provided both in individual (minimum 1 to 2 hours per week) and group formats in some settings (1.5 hours a week).
